Seb McKinnon Playmats

Our Seb McKinnon playmats span Magic illustrations — including Damnation, Chalice of the Void, Growth Spiral and Misty Rainforest — most signed by the artist, many also stitched. The collection also includes several original, non-card pieces from Kin Fables, his personal project with Ben McKinnon, plus two sketch versions and four multi-artist collaborations.

From Magic 2013 to today

Seb McKinnon's Magic illustrations first appeared in Magic 2013 (2012); his most recent published appearance is Secrets of Strixhaven Commander (2026). He has contributed to Secret Lair since 2020.

Kin Fables — original art, not Magic cards

Several playmats in this collection — "Kin Fables," "The Answered Call" and "The Princess and the Knight" — come from Kin Fables, an original art project by Seb and his brother Ben McKinnon. These are standalone designs, not illustrations of existing Magic cards.

What's in this collection

Magic illustrations here include Damnation, Chalice of the Void, Growth Spiral, Misty Rainforest, Essence Scatter and Deliver Unto Evil, most signed and several also stitched; Damnation and Swamp are also available in sketch versions. Four pieces — "Kin Fables," two versions of "The Answered Call," "Kinship" and "The Poet and the Faerie Queen" — are signed jointly with other artists (Nils Hamm, Erin Vest, Drew Tucker, Rebecca Guay) and aren't solo McKinnon work.

Condition and photographs

Because most of these are signed, individually finished pieces, condition matters as much as the artwork. Every listing uses real photographs of the actual playmat, so you can check the surface and the signature before buying.
