Dominik Mayer Playmats

Our Dominik Mayer playmats feature three illustrations — Expressive Iteration, Gandalf the White and Mana Crypt — spanning a Secret Lair promo, The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth and the Special Guests series. Two are stitched; the Gandalf the White piece also commemorates MagicCon Barcelona 2023 and the Pro Tour.

From Zendikar Rising to today

Dominik Mayer's Magic illustrations first appeared in Zendikar Rising (2020) and continue into current sets, most recently Secrets of Strixhaven Commander (2026). He has contributed to Secret Lair drops in 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

What's in this collection

Expressive Iteration debuted as a Secret Lair promo illustration in January 2024, presented here as an F2F Tour Champion edition. Gandalf the White was created for The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth (2023) and commemorates MagicCon Barcelona 2023 and the Pro Tour, stitched. Mana Crypt debuted in the Special Guests series (2023) and is also stitched.
