Gaea's Cradle Playmats

Our two Gaea's Cradle playmats both use Mark Zug's original Urza's Saga illustration — the art the card debuted with in 1998, and the only version it has had in normal retail printings. One of the two is signed by the artist.

A Reserved List land that never got a reprint

Gaea's Cradle debuted in Urza's Saga (1998) with art by Mark Zug, and it is legal in Legacy, Vintage, Premodern and Commander, though banned in Duel Commander. As a Reserved List card it has never had a normal reprint, so Zug's illustration is the only one to appear in a retail set. Two other artists have illustrated it since — both for Legacy Championship playmats rather than for a printed card.

What's in this collection

Both playmats use Zug's Urza's Saga artwork. One is signed by him; the other is offered unsigned.

Condition and photographs

One of the two playmats here is signed by the artist, so condition and signature matter as much as the artwork. Every listing uses real photographs of the actual playmat, so you can check both before buying.
