Deathrite Shaman Playmats

Two of our Deathrite Shaman playmats use Steve Argyle's original Return to Ravnica artwork — one from the 2015 Eternal Weekend Legacy Championship, the other signed and stitched. The other two are “Deathrite Salmon,” Andrea Radeck's aquatic take on the card for Star City Games' Creature Collection, in its 2023 and 2024 reprints.

Banned in two formats at once

Deathrite Shaman debuted in Return to Ravnica (2012) with art by Steve Argyle, and it is banned in both Legacy and Modern — a rare double ban for a card that is still legal in Vintage, Pioneer and Commander. That debut printing was also its first foil. Three artists have illustrated it in total.

What's in this collection

Argyle's artwork appears on two playmats: one released at the 2015 Eternal Weekend Legacy Championship, and one signed and stitched. The other two are “Deathrite Salmon” by Andrea Radeck, a reworking of the card for Star City Games' Creature Collection, offered here in both its 2023 and 2024 reprints.
