The original Thoughtseize artist
Aleksi Briclot illustrated Thoughtseize for its original printing in Lorwyn (2007) — the same art used on all four Thoughtseize playmats in this collection, later reprinted in Iconic Masters, Double Masters and Time Spiral Remastered. A career from Kamigawa to Marvel
Briclot's Magic illustrations first appeared in Champions of Kamigawa (2004) and continue into current sets, most recently Marvel Super Heroes Commander (2026), a Universes Beyond crossover. He has contributed to Secret Lair since 2019, across ten drops. Beyond Magic, the French illustrator co-founded the video game studio Dontnod Entertainment.
