Dandân Playmats

Our Dandân playmats cover both artists in the card's history — Drew Tucker's original 1993 Arabian Nights illustration, including a hand-drawn piece that also depicts City in a Bottle, and two “Dandân Revisited” reinterpretations — plus Kelogsloops' 2025 Secret Lair Drop version, shown at MagicCon Atlanta and in an open printing. Many are stitched.

Two artists, three decades apart

Dandân debuted in Arabian Nights (1993) with art by Drew Tucker, and remains legal in Old School today — the retro format built around cards from exactly this era. That original illustration is the art on four of the six playmats here, including the hand-drawn “City in a Bottle & Dandân” piece; City in a Bottle is a separate Arabian Nights card, also illustrated by Tucker in the same 1993 set. Kelogsloops created the card's only other illustration for a Secret Lair Drop in 2025, more than three decades later.

What's in this collection

Four of the six playmats are stitched and three are signed. Two are labeled “Dandân Revisited” — Tucker's own later interpretation of the same subject, inspired by his Arabian Nights artwork rather than reproducing it. The Kelogsloops version comes in two editions: one released at MagicCon Atlanta 2025, the other an open printing.

Condition and photographs

Because many of these are signed pieces, condition matters as much as the artwork. Every listing uses real photographs of the actual playmat, so you can check the surface and the signature before buying.
